Dallas aims to seal the deal and head to the NBA Finals

What a crazy end to game four! I even contemplated turning off the television after Oklahoma City grabbed a 99-84 lead with less then five minutes to go. Then madness ensued as Dallas led by Dirk Nowitzki stormed back to tie the game up and send it into overtime. The rest is history as Dallas finished the deal in winning 112-105. Nowitzki scored 40 points in the win as the Thunder floundered down the stretch as neither star, Russell Westbrook or Kevin Durant could score. Now the game heads back to Dallas for game five. Only eight teams have rebounded from a 3-1 deficit, and just two have accomplished this feat winning twice on the road.
Durant and Westbrook both attempted 22 shots in order to 48 points combined. Durant scored 29 of these, but his attempt at a last-second shot looked very unimpressive as Shawn Marion handed it right back to him. The Thunder continue to struggle from behind the three-point line as Durant was the only player to connect with two of these. Serge Ibaka had a good game on the offensive side but once again struggled with defense against Nowitzki. Ibaka scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds. Was nice to see the Oklahoma City faithful shouting, "OKC," in the waning moments of the overtime with Dallas in control.
Jason Terry and Jason Kidd each had good games from the wing in scoring 37 points combined to help Nowitzki. The Mavericks didn't get much other scoring, but as evidenced by the win they didn't need anymore. The vaunted Dallas bench has been shut down after the game one win with Peja and J.J. Barea struggling. Now is the time for the bench players to shine in order for Dallas to advance tomorrow after the lengthy game four with only one day break.
Get ready for a game more like game three then any others as both teams will be fighting fatigue. This is where younger teams like Oklahoma City could jump on an older team. If Dallas can fight and keep the game close for the first half, then this series is over. All the Mavericks need to do is give the ball to Dirk in the fourth and let the man take it over. Dallas wins and puts Oklahoma City out of their misery.
