Starting cougar dismissed: BYU forward Brandon Davies was dismissed from the team on Wednesday for violating the school's honor code. BYU's code calls for students to live a honest, and virtous life, to abstain from alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee, substance abuse and too attend church regularly. The forward had started in 26 of the Cougars 29 games, averaging 11 points and six rebounds. BYU just moved up to third in the country.
Seton Hall player faces gun charge: Seton Hall point guard Jordan Theodore is being investaged for unlawful possession of a weapon on school property. Essex County is looking into bringing the charges to Theodore. They would charge him with a third-degree offense, a possible five years in prision accompanies this charge. Theodore is averaging 11 points, and four assists per game for the Pirates.
Diebler nails 10 treys: Ohio State guard Jon Diebler lit up the Penn State defense last night. The guard went 10-12 from behind the three-point line. Ohio State easily dispatched Penn State 82-61 in front of record crowds. 15,403 fans crammed Penn State's home gym for the game. Diebler's threes tied the Big Ten Conference record.
Taylor's suspension ends: Kansas ended point guard Tyshon Taylor's suspension after two games. The guard was suspended for breaking a team rule. Taylor may play in tonight's game with Texas A&M, Kansas's final home game of the season. Taylor is averaging nine points and five assists for the Jayhawks.
