On Monday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings abruptly waived wideout Randy Moss. In four games with the Vikings, Moss had 13 receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Many teams in the league are already in contact with Moss and his agent about his availability for the rest of the season, including the New England Patriots which just traded him to Minnesota.
Quarterback Michael Vick expects to be back for next Sundays game with the Indianapolis Colts as the starter. Vick participated in full practice Monday for the first time in three weeks due to a rib cartliage tear. The Eagles are 4-3 on the year.
Auburn and Oregon flip flopped spots in the BCS poll after Saturdays games. The Ducks were impressive in their defeat of the USC Trojans, 53-32, while Auburn stayed unbeaten winning 41-21 at Mississippi. The Ducks remain in the top spot of both the Coaches and AP polls in addition. TCU jumped Boise State to take the third spot and send the Broncos to four.
A look ahead at the next week college football schedule and one game stands out right away! Third-ranked TCU traveling to Salt Lake City to meet fifth-ranked Utah. With two highly ranked teams like this playing you would think it would be on national television. Nope! Just on CBS Sports channel or 412 for those Comcast subscribers. ESPN, CBS, ABC, even NBC or Versus are missing out big-time!
