Celtics win battle of streaking teams

New York went into Wednesday's game with Boston on a eight game winning streak. Boston has won ten straight games. So this was an early season clash of the titans. Boston came back from a late game deficit to win 118-116. Turned out to be quite the game.
Neither team had much of an advantage during the game. There were runs here and there but not too big of an lead for either side. New York was ahead 113-106 with two minutes left then something clicked on Boston's side. All of an sudden the scoreboard read 116-116. Then Boston called a timeout with 12 seconds left on the clock. The ball went to Rajon Rondo who dumped it to Paul Pierce who calmly knocked down a 14-footer. Boston win. The Celtics now are 20-4 on the season joining San Antonio as the lone teams with 20 wins.
Pierce finished with 32 points to lead Boston scorers. Ray Allen chipped in with 26 points and Kevin Garnett added 20. Amare Stoudemire lead all scorers with 39 points. Raymond Felton scored 26 points and Danilo Gallinari added 20 for the Knicks. New York fell to 16-10 on the season.
