Can Oregon jump Ohio State in the polls?

October 8th 2010 00:30
Right now the Ducks from Oregon are playing right up there with the likes of Alabama, the number one ranked team. Can they continue this up? Very likely unless something catastrophic happens to the team. Their schedule is set for an 9-0 run possibly even more. Washington State is the opponent this week, an easy victory, followed by UCLA and USC in consectutive weeks. UCLA is a team which has started slowly but picked up as of late. Case in point, their whipping of then number ranked seven, Texas, at Austin. Both are likely victories, and add another win with Washington and California, and you get a 9-0 record. Arizona and Oregon State are the final two opponents, which will raise the level of competition another level.

But can they jump Ohio State? Yes! They can. Especially if Ohio State continues to struggle and barely win, like they did last Saturday versus Iillinois. Boise State was the first team to hurdle. Ohio State next up...
