Brandon Roy came out of the closet Wednesday. In a interview with local reporters he voiced his displeasure with how the Blazers ran their offense last season, through seasoned veteran Andre Miller. Brandon wants things back to the way they were before Andre arrived. With Steve Blake as the point guard but the ball running through Roy.
This is a good sign that Roy wants the ball, but not so good how he went about it, going to the media not coach Nate McMillian or his teammates. This is a team matter not a public matter. Good for Brandon for wanting the ball, and attempting to be a leader. Good thing this is still the preseason, not the regular season, as the team still can work through issues like this.
Roy does deserve the ball, just not this way.
