Blazer Star Seeking Second Opinion on Knee
November 10th 2010 23:48
Portland Trailblazers guard Brandon Roy on Wednesday flew to California with team personnel including general manager Rich Cho to see about an ailing knee. Not the knee from last years playoffs which was ailing him. His left knee that gave Roy problems two years ago is once again doing the same thing.
At first, a couple of days ago, Roy claimed he was playing too much minutes, that five games in seven days is too much for his body to take. Roy is only 26 years old, so this information about him wanting less time is a little disconcerning. Being the star of the team, and wanting the ball to go through you, and now wanting to not play as much, a little confusing. Now we hear the truth, its his [I]knee.
The Blazers are 6-3 on the season, and can play for a few months without Roy, having a deep and talented bench. Having to do play without him anymore then that could hurt. Though right know playing him is bringing the team down as Roy struggles to get up and down the court. Let's hope Roy gets treatment or has a surgery right away and gets back to normal soon.
