September 26th 2011 01:05
The Buffalo Bills came from behind to knock off New England, 34-31 on Sunday morning. The Bills improved to 3-0, knocking the Patriots off the unbeaten perch. Tom Brady passed for 387 yards in the loss, pushing him into the record books, for most passing yards ever for a quarterback in three games. Brady threw for 1,327 yards this season so far.

New England jumped on Buffalo at the beginning, going ahead 21-0 midway in the second quarter. Then slowly but surely, the Bills began chipping away at the lead. Buffalo cut the margin down to 21-10 by halftime. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw his second touchdown pass, cutting the lead down to four, early in the third quarter. New England added a field goal, making the lead back at one touchdown. Then Buffalo rallied one more time. Fred Jackson, took in the tying touchdown as the fourth quarter began. Brady tossed another of his interceptions, this time to Drayton Florence who took the ball in for a touchdown, giving the Bills the lead.

Brady and wide receiver Wes Welker connected one more time, tying the game up at 31 with three mins left. Welker made 16 catches on the game for 217 yards. Buffalo, came right back, toying with the Patriots defense and head coach Bill Belchick at the end, en route to winning the game on a 28-yard Rian Lindell field goal. Buffalo is the first team in league history to come back from 18 points down in consecutive weeks to win. Fitzpatrick threw for two touchdowns and 386 yards in the win.

In other action, Detroit did a little come-from-behind themselves in beating Minnesota, 26-23 in overtime. The Lions were behind, 20-0 at halftime. Matthew Stafford and Jason Hanson were huge as the Vikings blew a big half-time lead for the second straight week.

Carolina earned their first win with Cam Newton as the starting quarterback, defeating Jacksonville 16-10. The game was marred by soggy conditions throughout, but in the end Carolina got the win.

Philadelphia lost Michael Vick for the second straight week, this time due to a broken right hand in the Eagles 29-16 loss to New York Giants. Eli Manning threw four touchdowns in the win.

Fred Jackson has shown us why he is one of the best and most elusive running backs in this league.
