Ben Roethlisberger, starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers will sit out this Saturday's game versus the St. Louis Rams. Starting in his place will be Charlie Batch, who is 4-2 as a starter since arriving in Pittsburgh in 2003.
Roethlisberger, hasn't missed a game since 2009, when he sat out with a concussion. The Steelers are coming off a tough loss on Monday night versus the San Francisco 49ers, 20-3. Backup quarterback Dennis Dixon is active and will be the backup to Batch.
St. Louis enters the game with a 2-11 record, starting a backup of their own in Kellen Clemens who is expected to start instead of Sam Bradford. The former Oregon quarterback started last week for the Rams. Bradford is listed as doubtful right now.
For the game, expect the Steelers to rely more on their rushing game and defense. Rashard Mendenhall will get plenty of carries against the league's worst rushing defense. St. Louis on average gives up 153 yards per game on the ground. Pittsburgh will win and move to 11-4, keeping pace with Baltimore.
