At least one team gets a sweep in the first round

Boston Celtics swept the New York Knicks in the middle game of Sunday's action. Miami couldn't finish the deal in giving up the final ten points of the first game, while Chicago failed to get the job done yesterday. Tomorrow Oklahoma City has a chance to complete the sweep of Denver.
Just when it appeared the Knicks were somehow going to get the win after falling behind by 20 points early in the third quarter, Boston held them off. The Celtics won game four, 101-89 in New York. Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 26 points and ten rebounds. The shooting of Ray Allen and Paul Pierce cooled off after they combined for 14 3-pointers in game three. Rajon Rondo had another great game with 21 points and 12 assists.
Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 32 points, but it wasn't enough as fellow Knicks failed to help him out. Amare Stoudemire finally got going in the second half, but it was too little, too late. The forward/center finished with 18 points on 5-18 shooting. Anthony Carter was a sparkplug off the bench going for 11 points as the Knicks erased a large lead. Boston moves onto face the winner of the first series which began Sunday's action.
Miami had the series won with a 82-76 lead with 1:35 remaining in the game. Though after watching Portland's comeback yesterday then you know anythings possible. Rookie Evan Turner hit a layup to cut into the lead. Then after a Mario Chalmers missed shot, Jrue Holliday drained a big 3-pointer, making the lead one point. After another miss from the Heat, Philadelphia had a chance to get the lead with less then 24 seconds to play. Lou Williams made the biggest shot of his young career with a three pointer to give the 76ers the lead with eight seconds left. Elton Brand blocked Lebron James, and the celebration was on. Philadelphia scored the final ten points of the game in the 86-82 win.
A balanced scoring effort from Philadelphia keyed the win, with Williams and Turner leading the way with 17 points. Brand scored 15, as did Andre Iguodala who finally had a good game in the series. James scored 31 points in the loss.
Atlanta is currently ahead of Orlando in the third quarter by 11 points as they look to gain a commanding lead in that series. Tonight, the Lakers aim for the same with New Orleans. The Hornets meanwhile will look to ride Chris Paul to get a big win.
