The Los Angeles Lakers will play games on three straight days to start the season. This is the first of back-back-back 42 teams will face this season. The Lakers face Chicago as part of five games on Christmas.
Every team will get to play on three straight nights at least once during the season. The Atlanta Hawks play nine games in 12 days starting on December. 27th.
The Portland Trailblazers open their season on December 26th, hosting Philadelphia. A couple of other interesting games on the 26th, include Dallas hosting the new look Denver Nuggets, adding Andre Miller and likely losing starting center Nene, plus Minnesota faces Oklahoma City. This game will feature the debut of Derrick Williams, the second pick in the NBA Draft and Ricky Rubio, the prolific guard from Spain. Kyrie Irving, the top pick for Cleveland out of Duke, debuts on December, 28th as the Cavs travel to Detroit.
Everything kicks off at Christmas morning when the New York Knicks host Boston.
